The 2024 wedding season kicked off (well my season anyway), with American couple Emily & Keaton’s wedding at Chateau du Raysse in South West France planned by Julie Francis from Your Wedding Planner France.
Slightly pre-season, as in early April, the weather could have been somewhat cool, but there was actually a bit of a blip with a mini heatwave for their weekend. Not sweltering hot, but mid 20’s Celsius compared with my previous April wedding where there was frost on the ground in the morning!
Bookworms (they have over 1050 books!) Emily & Keaton along with their 37 guests were therefore married outdoors in the warm Spring sunshine of this wedding venue situated on the Dordogne/Lot department boundary and close to the River Dordogne which runs through the valley below.
Post-ceremony, there was a champagne tower and canapés before an outdoor meal in a quite idyllic setting with dancing also outdoors. Not bad for early April!
