“Multi-Day Coverage?”

For 95%+ of my clients, you are having a ‘Destination Wedding’.

“What is a ‘Destination Wedding’?”

Simply a wedding not taking place in the country where you reside and as a result, you and your guests will be making extra effort to attend.

By their nature, these types of wedding do not tend to take place over a single day, but are spread over multiple days.

For some it’s 2, for others it’s 4 (or more…), but 3 days tends to be the norm for most, at least regarding more planned activities & events. If your event is going to be 4 or more, ask, - it may be possible!

Beyond that, by having everything covered, you not only end up with much more extensive coverage, but a much greater result and memory. So why would you not have ALL of these days/events/activities covered?!

“What is included in the 1/2 day/FULL day prior coverage options?”

The 1/2 day prior covers specifically:

On-site meeting which for most couples, is the only opportunity we have to do this in person. It is of HUGE value to do this, especially regarding the filming (video) element to the capture and specifically, the ceremony and speeches.

Ceremony rehearsal attendance. Even if you are not doing a full run through and/or your celebrant cannot be there, it’s very important I understand in advance, exactly how your ceremony is going to unfold as there are no second chances. Ditto speeches. This is why full ceremony & speeches coverage and productions are not included in the single day coverage package, ie, there is far too much room for ‘uneven’ coverage of these specific chapters if not fully planned in advance.

First round of venue/location capture, including drone photo & video. The morning/day of the wedding itself can sometimes be compromised in this regard with supplier vehicles and the weather may even be different (ie, not as good whereas the day prior, it might have been fantastic).

Low-key, minimally invasive capture of any Welcome Party that almost all destination weddings have.

In summary, this 1/2 day prior coverage is THE KEY that unlocks so much of the possibility from your wedding day itself.

FULL DAY PRIOR coverage simply includes any and everything you might be doing that day for example, kayaking in the morning followed by a riverside picnic lunch…and then, all the afternoon evening stuff as above!

“1/2 day/FULL day after? What does that typically cover?”

For most, pool party! But it’s usually more than that and I’ve covered everything from picnics to fun sports events to more cultural days out…but normally it’s something like a crepe van brunch, de-structured Sunday Lunch, or BBQ/hog roast…plus pool party! It could be anything really from a structured on-site event to a full day out such as wine-tasting plus picnic.

For some, the party continues into the evening with some other additional event and this coverage is designed for you!

“Why are full length ceremony and speeches coverage and videos NOT included with single day coverage?”

Logistics & planning. The day prior (1/2 day minimum) is KEY to both, especially ceremony. Without that taking place, that is too much potential room for error regarding the capture of these chapters of the day.

“What if we do not have anything booked for the day prior and/or the day after?”

Well plan something! Or rather, that is rare with a destination wedding. Extremely rare, at least for the couples that book me, but it is a situation that does sometime exist. Unfortunately, the minimum spend option still applies for peak wedding dates due to ‘supply & demand’.

“Photo AND filming (video) in a single package? How is that even possible?”

My career as a wedding photographer began 800+ weddings ago and in 2010, I added a small static video element and it grew from there, each year adding a little more until I could capture a wedding with both photo and video at the same time with zero compromise. Most recent examples here. It is not the norm and despite an increasing number of businesses offering this, may never be the norm and I am unaware of any low-key solo operator who offers the level of service that I do at the quality level that I do. I get the results that I do because I am a solo operator and not despite being a solo operator, - it’s a mix of technology + technique + time (taken to develop & master this approach).

“OK, tell us about how you will capture our wedding day itself?”

Low-key, minimally invasive, a handful of family group shots and some ‘guided portraits’ of you two as a couple, but nothing overly fussy or contrived. Spending the least amount of time on the staged elements is how I prefer to work and how my clients tend to prefer things to be, but if you want to spend a little more time & effort on ‘hero’ shots, we can do that. Otherwise, there’s no counting hours on the wedding day itself, - it’s simply ‘from early until late’ and having an RV/motorhome as; transport, office, bedroom, bathroom & kitchen, I am on-site for the duration. Ie, there is no rushing off and for you, no extra hours coverage to either pay for. or go without due to cost. Maybe a package based on single day only and restricted to something like 8 hours might suit some, but it would not suit my clients and typical wedding day coverage is anything from 10-15 hours with 12 being a good average.

“Print ready files?”

After every wedding, usually within 4-8 weeks (shortest at the start of the season, longest towards the end), I will curate and hand-edit every single file which are then put into a private gallery for you to download, share, print and do with as you wish. They are yours and free of any watermark or similar.

“A4 Print Magazine?”

Exactly what it sounds like. Generally, I take the extensive photo highlights from a wedding and turn this into a printed item which makes a great extra keepsake for those that may not wish to commission an actual book or album.

“Films/Videos/Productions?”

There are up to 4 possible productions available, depending on package/coverage chosen:

HIGHLIGHT SOCIAL MEDIA FILM = a short highlight video for social media, typically 1-1.5 minutes (examples on my Instagram)

FEATURE WEDDING EVENT FILM(S) = longer and more extensive production(s) from all of the covered days (examples on any client wedding page featured on this site) and typically split: Day Prior, Wedding Day, Day After and from mid 2025, presented in chapter format. Audio is generally only included if you made personal vows during the ceremony.

FULL LENGTH CEREMONY VIDEO = full length ‘as it happened’ ceremony with production length to match the real time length. (Only available if as a minimum, 1/2 day prior coverage has been booked. Examples by request)

FULL LENGTH SPEECHES VIDEO = full length ‘as it happened’ speeches with production length to match the real time length. (Only available if as a minimum, 1/2 day prior coverage has been booked. Examples by request)

“All travel included?”

Yes, unless the wedding is taking place further than 500km from 32480 La Romieu. Try AA Routeplanner if you’d like to check. Weddings more than 500km, ask for a quotation unless one has already been provided. Costs are variable based on any number of factors such as am I already going to be in the area just prior to, or just after your date? Or both? And how far otherwise will I need to travel such as 50km each way? 750km each way (that’s 2 whole extra days!) or 1500km each way (which is 4 extra days just to get there and back!!) whereas 50km is an hour each way, ie, costs ‘depend’.

“Anything else we need to know or should be asking you about?”

You can always ask me anything you wish, any time and for all booked clients, I provide a detailed info pack which I call my BLUEPRINT document that will help you with all things ‘wedding’ whether you have a dedicated planner or not. I just have too much experience not to share that with you and anyway, why wouldn’t I because the better your wedding is, the better the results will be and that works for us both. Plus, I have a ‘Little Black Book’ of recommended suppliers that I can share with you…subject to your wedding planner (if you have one) being happy for me to do so.

“Any deals or discounts available?”

Deals & Discounts are already built in and in the case of the HYBRID PACKAGES, very good ones! However, any couple booking full 3 day coverage, an additional fixed -€250 is available.

“Why is there a minimum spend/package commitment for certain prime dates?”

Because of exactly that; prime dates of which there are only realistically 20 weekends in any given season, so very much a case of supply & demand and it makes (very limited) financial sense to block up entire weeks with single day coverage. Weekdays are fine, as is ‘short notice’ or out of season, but prime weekends are gold dust in this industry.

“OK, how do we book and can you pencil in the date?”

I can ‘pencil in’ any date for a maximum of 24 hours from the point any couple says to me, “Simon, we’d love to book you!” Until I hear/read that sentence, all/any dates are free to be booked by any party. Otherwise it’s a case of sending you the booking doc to complete and return, plus making the first stage payment which is €750…and providing those 2 elements are in progress, the date(s) and my services are yours and the adventure begins.
