And so it begins, the 2023 wedding season!
Kicking off the year, about a month before the season in France really gets going, ie, early May, is this little gem of a wedding that took place at the end of March.
Spring was in the air, though had not quite arrived in this particular part of Eastern France over near the Swiss border.
Chateau de Montrevost was the venue, part of the Kasteliades group of venues for hire, in Cuisery, Saône-et-Loire, to be precise.
With a small wedding, there is nowhere to hide (that goes for anyone attending and me) and this one was just 14. Or was it 12? Anyway, it was a smaller one.
Smaller does not mean it’s not a full wedding day by any means, - all the same stuff happens; a couple get ready individually, there’s a ceremony, followed by drinks, then a meal and dancing. They did all that plus the day prior stuff.
It did mean very few on the day suppliers though so along with me, there was Laurene Labre on HMUA duty, food by Sue Manning (one of my new favourite caterers) and James Carr the DJ.
That’s about as much as I have to say right now. Great wedding, great couple, great family & friends, just great great great. A joy to be at and capture for them.
