JESSICA & GARETH - CHATEAU LA GAUTERIE

Jessica & Gareth’s wedding took place at Chateau la Gauterie which sits almost on the boundary of two departments in France; Charente and Dordogne.

I think this was either my 4th or 5th visit to this delightful venue and there is always a warm welcome from owner and wedding planner-in-chief, Sarah.

The weekend’s event began with a Welcome Party BBQ hosted by the bride & groom, Jess & Gareth in the courtyard next to the chateau followed by (obviously!) their actual wedding day.

It was yet another day when the forecast was pretty pessimistic at best, but once again, any bad weather did not play apart and the day just got brighter and brighter including; outdoor ceremony on the rear steps and drinks reception on the terrace.

Then a long table down one of the driveways under the trees with musician, Andy Usher leading the guests finally towards the party barn and cake!
