Destination Wedding Videographer

What is a 'Destination Wedding Videographer'?

What is a 'Destination Wedding' first of all?

Quite simply, it is a wedding taking place anywhere other than the country where you live.

For instance, I am British, but live in France and most of my clients travel to France to get married, but live elsewhere. Such as; the UK, USA, Australia, Canada, Scandinavia...

So a 'Destination Wedding Videographer' is simply someone who provides that service.

I also travel in order to capture weddings that are not in France. Where is your wedding taking place? You can contact me here to check my availability & costs.

But I am more than a 'videographer' because I am a videographer AND a photographer.

In fact, I was a wedding photographer first (over 700+ weddings captured to date in 12 different countries) and then added a video service around 12 years ago.

I am actually what is often called these days a 'Hybrid Wedding Photographer', ie, I both photograph and video weddings at the same time.

"How do you do that?!" is a question I am often asked and the answer to that can be read here.

So what are the benefits to having both forms of capture and from one single company?

Well photography can only capture so much and likewise, video. When the two work in synchronicity, they complement each other, filling in each others blanks and add up to more than the sum of each added together.

What do I mean by that?

If photography coverage = 1 and video capture = 1, when you have both, surely they add up to = 2?

Not so, because each adds something 'more' to the other so when combined seamlessly, add up to more like 2.5.

On the other hand, if you have 2 separate companies, inevitably there is going to be some form of compromise in each others coverage so 1 + 1 might only add up to = 1.5 as something is lost from each with that combination. Plus this latter combination costs more!

It costs more because 2 separate companies have 2 sets of overheads; business costs, travel, wages etc.

So if you recognise the value of using a 'one stop shop' as it were, below are some examples of various recent destination weddings that combined photography & video.

Each has a 'Photo-Film', ie, a production based on the photo capture, plus a 'Wedding Film' with a production using the video capture.
