2026 WEDDING SEASON WRAP PARTY

OK, it’s a wrap on the 2026 wedding season, with the actual party bit yet to come, but as of 1st November, ALL weddings finished and delivered to all 15 of this year’s couples.

Now to some, 15 (couples/weddings) might not sound huge, but here are some numbers for you…

2026 was my final year of offering ‘Just Photo’ or ‘Just Video’ because my heart (and best value) is in providing both.

On every occasion without fail, if I have provided just one or the other, I have had regret and in some cases, the client also. It’s in both our best interests that I move forward into 2027 and the future providing ‘Just Hybrid’.

But those numbers…

15 couples/weddings this season = 15 actual wedding days (technically 16 weddings as one couple had 2x full wedding days and actually 17 weddings attended as I also did a civil in London prior to their destination wedding!).

Add to that, 20 additional days covered either in the form of ‘Day Prior’ or ‘Day After’ coverage and in the case of more than 50% of weddings attended, both.

The total now = 37 days attended of which all bar 6, were photo AND video, so I brought back into the studio/office, the equivalent of 36 days of photography and 31 of video, making a combined total of 67 days of attended work to then edit & deliver in the form of; Wedding Films, Ceremony & Speeches Videos and Photography.

Every day attended, provides approx 2 days of photo editing or 3 days of video editing, so on top of attendance, 72 days of photo editing and 93 days of video editing.

Also not to be overlooked are the approximate 70 nights away from home in order to attend these weddings with 3 trips of; 2 weeks, 3 weeks and 5 weeks on the road continuously. I did not set foot in my own home for all of the month of August having left home on July 29th and returning September 13th.

Grand total equivalent of 242 working days…crammed in to a 5.5 month time period.

Including; attending/shooting weddings, travel to & from, plus editing, there has not been a single week shorter than 80 working hours from mid May until mid September and since than, has still been 7 days a week to ensure regardless of coverage, every single wedding was delivered in full within 6 weeks maximum of wedding date.

So next time someone asks me, “so what do you do during the week?”…

And as for the next time I hear, “we’re still waiting for the results from our videographer”, (not from any of my clients), 6 months after their wedding… (insert roll eyes emoji).

In summary of the 2026 wedding season, - it’s been another roller coaster ride. Not so much peaks & troughs as it’s been pretty much peaks from start to finish, but rather that as usual, it’s been relentless. But that is just part of what I do/the nature of this business, - full on for half the year and then full off for the other 50% (Winter).

It’s been an absolute blast and for all those couples that chose me and then trusted me, I thank you and your unsolicited feedback tells me all I need to know. And is why I do this.

For the 2027 season (at the time of writing), I am near 100% capacity with just 3 remaining open slots and some exciting new stuff to come.

I am now having a ½ day off and about that 'Wrap Party’, if anyone would care to send me an invite…
